The Intech subsidiary e-troFit GmbH presented its conversion solution from diesel to electric drive for buses and lorries, which won the German Mobility Award, at Busworld Europe 2019 in Brussels.
The central exhibit – a low-floor bus of the type “Citaro C1” converted by e-trofit – was showcased on the 270 m² stand area of the Intech group of companies.
The rear stand boundary formed a generous backdrop with clean lines: Mila-wall wall modules mounted with hairline joints up to six metres high, with invisible connection technology and an exchangeable surface foil. The diagonal arrangement on the stand area breaks up the rectangular basic shape and creates a strong sense of dynamism. The stand design depicted a stylised bus bay including a bus stop, in which the converted bus “parks” as an exhibit for visitors.
The adjacent “street café”, placed raised on a large trapezoidal platform and separated from the bus stop area in a permeable way by parapet elements planted with greenery, invites visitors to linger; consultations can also take place here. The use of light and darker surfaces as well as wood laminate flooring in the area of the suspended ceiling frame in the catering area creates individual zones for orientation, information and encounters, including refreshments.
Mila-wall wall modules with a sturdy aluminium frame were used in combination with individually manufactured custom-made components.
