Brothers Grimm House Steinau / Dalí – Life and Work

The tranquil Brothers Grimm town of Steinau is transforming into a surreal total work of art and, with more than 500 exhibits, is presenting one of the most extensive Dalí exhibitions in Germany in its town hall.

What makes the exhibition special is its holistic approach. In addition to the paintings, drawings, graphic works, sculptures, jewellery, porcelain works, items of clothing and furniture designed by Dalí are also presented – and with them the entire cosmos of this versatile 20th-century artist.

A large part of the show in the town hall was realised with 48 Mila-wall Series 100 modular walls with aluminium frames, each 2.5 m high and 1 m wide. The modular wall system was newly acquired for the exhibition, so that special exhibitions can be designed several times a year in future. The exhibition architecture and the design can be adapted again and again to the client’s needs.

For the Dalí exhibition, red and blue walls created a powerful atmosphere in the room. The surfaces of the modular walls are covered with removable, self-adhesive surface foils, which make it easy to change the walls when needed while the wall structure remains intact – for guaranteed flexibility, sustainability and quality.
